But the new report about her father is far more serious than anything she has been in the news for before, and it involves a criminal case in Louisiana.

TMZ exclusively obtained court documents showing that Addison Rae’s dad, Monty Lopez — listed under his birth name, Manolito Juan Lopez — was arrested on July 27, 2025. The records tie the case to an incident on August 31, 2024.
In the documents TMZ cited, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office accused the singer’s father of exposing himself in a public setting, with the case listing the charge as felony obscenity. Moreover, it classifies the offense as a sex crime.
The outlet reported that the court set Lopez’s bond at $2,500, but he has pleaded not guilty. As per the report, the case already has a next court date with a hearing reportedly scheduled for March 19, and prosecutors have recommended a year of hard labor.
Lopez and Rae’s mother, Sheri Easterling, married in 2004 and share three children together, including Enzo and Lucas besides the pop star. Their relationship has gone through multiple chapters over the years. TMZ reported that the couple divorced during Rae’s childhood, later reconciled, and then got married again in 2017.
However, they split again in 2022 after Easterling accused Lopez of infidelity. Easterling later dated rapper Yung Gravy, and Lopez remarried in October 2025 to Kaitlyn Nicole Robins in Las Vegas after meeting in Louisiana, where Lopez is from.
As of now, the case sits with the courts, and though Lopez has entered a not guilty plea, the hearing date will likely offer the next clear update on where things go from here for Rae’s dad. TMZ reported it reached out to Lopez for comment but did not receive a response.
