Nick Jonas’ wife, Priyanka Chopra, has addressed speculation about their marriage. The couple married in 2018 after a brief courtship and have a daughter together. However, a certain section of fans has continuously questioned the authenticity of their marriage. Chopra has hit back at naysayers in her recent interview with Variety.

Nick Jonas’ wife, Priyanka Chopra, hit back at critics for casting doubts on their marriage. In a February 11 interview with Variety, the Quantico star said, “We’re eight years in. If people want to keep waiting for it to implode, that’s their choice. I stopped thinking about it.”
Priyanka confessed that she noticed her brief courtship and marriage to Jonas “rubbed people the wrong way.” However, she quietly admitted she has no idea why people thought that way.
Giving it serious thought, Priyanka theorized, “I think there was the intercultural nature of it — different countries, different religions, age gap. It was very hurtful. And we both, instead of looking out, just sort of looked at each other, and we were like, ‘It doesn’t matter.’ So it’s like water off a duck’s back now.”
The 43-year-old actress reflected on her brief courtship and elaborate wedding to Jonas. She confessed they got married “really quick, within six months of meeting.” The Citadel star dished that her husband is “constantly sincere” irrespective of the situation.
Priyanka Chopra gushed, “When I first married him, I didn’t know if it was even real. This part of him. Because I was like this is crazy. This is put on. But Nick has this absolute sincerity. It inspires me every day in a profession which requires you to pivot and become whatever you need to put on.”
Previously, Nick Jonas shed light on his marriage with his actress-wife on the February 4 episode of the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast. Jonas remarked, “I think our age difference was something that really bonds us. And I think I’ve lived a lot of life in 33 years, so I think having someone who has real perspective and depth and wanted to build a life together was something that I was really drawn to.”
