Virgin River Season 7 Trailer Previews Mel & Jack’s Happiest Chapter

Netflix recently released Virgin River Season 7’s trailer, teasing the romantic drama’s next chapter. The trailer arrives one month after the release date was announced. Notably, the upcoming installment comes over a year after the previous one ended. The last season ended with the series’ main couple, Mel and Jack, tying the knot. Their union solidified the growth of their love for one another that spanned previous seasons.

Virgin River Season 7 trailer released

Netflix recently debuted the trailer for Virgin River Season 7. As teased in the footage, the installment will follow Mel and Jack’s efforts to adopt a child. This is something they were considering for a while, after facing numerous challenges in conceiving their own, including a tragic miscarriage in Season 5. Moreover, the upcoming season will also see the married couple going on a honeymoon to celebrate their marriage.

The end of Season 6 put the couple one step closer to adopting a baby. This was after one of Mel’s patients, Marley, decided to make her and Jack the adoptive parents when the original couple backed out of the adoption process.

The teaser initially makes it seem as if Mel and Jack succeeded. Mel tearfully gives Jack the good news, “She wants us to be the parents of her baby.” However, the footage later makes it clear that the process will be a lot more complicated. In one part, Marley informs Jack and Mel that she needs more time to decide whether to give up her baby for adoption. This frustrates the former, who, in the subsequent part, wonders what he and Mel should do, while the latter remains calm.

In the following part, Mel stresses that she and Jack still have a long way to go when it comes to adopting Marley’s baby. She states, “It’s not our baby. Not yet.”

Meanwhile, other parts of the teaser tease the other developing relationships in the upcoming season. This includes Doc and Hope’s rekindled romance, Preacher and Kaia’s burgeoning relationship, and Lizzie and Denny’s evolving dynamic amidst their roles as expectant parents.

Virgin River Season 7 premieres on March 12, 2026. Sue Tenney developed the series, based on Robyn Carr’s novels of the same name.

Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson star as Mel and Jack, reprising their roles from previous seasons. They are joined by returning cast members as well as new faces. The returning cast includes Tim Matheson, Annette O’ Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure. Meanwhile, new faces include Sara Canning, Cody Kearsley, and Austin Nichols.
