Travis Kelce Reaches Out to Seahawks TE After Super Bowl Win

Travis Kelce congratulated a Seattle Seahawks player after the latter’s Super Bowl win. Following Super Bowl LX, Kelce took a moment to commend Seahawks tight end AJ Barner, whose performance helped seal a championship win and marked a major milestone early in his NFL career.

Travis Kelce said this to Seahawks TE AJ Barner after Super Bowl win

The moment meant a lot for Barner, as it marked his first-ever Super Bowl trip. The former Michigan tight end is part of the close-knit tight end circle formed through Tight End University, the Nashville-based camp run by Travis Kelce with help from 49ers standout George Kittle and retired NFL vet Greg Olsen.

On the field, Barner showed up in a big way for Seattle. He hauled in four passes for 54 yards and made the night’s first splash by scoring on a 16-yard catch from Sam Darnold early in the fourth quarter.

After the win, Barner took to Instagram to soak it all in, posting, “PREPARATION AND OPPORTUNITY ?‍♂️ – Blessed to be a Seahawk #12s #SBLX.”

Kelce didn’t take long to show love, hopping into the comments section with a simple but excited, “Congrats big dawg!!!” Now that Super Bowl LX is in the books, the spotlight shifts to what’s next. The Chiefs head into offseason mode, with fans already buzzing about the 2026 campaign and waiting to see if Kelce will suit up again for another run.

Kansas City’s no-show at the Super Bowl definitely upset fans. The Chiefs wrapped up the 2025 season at a rough 6–11, landing near the bottom of the league and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2021. For Travis Kelce, it marked just the second post-season miss in his 13-year NFL run.

Still, Kelce showed he’s far from washed. At 36, the longtime star hauled in 76 catches for 851 yards and five touchdowns, production strong enough to earn him his 11th Pro Bowl nod. Now that the offseason has officially kicked off, the big question floating around the league is whether Kelce comes back for a 14th season or decides it’s time to hang it up.
