Donald Trump’s Super Bowl Party Seemingly Snubbed Kid Rock for Bad Bunny Show

A circulating video from the Super Bowl 2026 night has got the internet talking. It appeared to show Donald Trump watching Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance during a private watch party, despite his repeated criticism of the artist and public alignment with Kid Rock.

Donald Trump’s party watched Bad Bunny, footage suggests

The video, originally posted on X, shows Trump seated at a table during a Super Bowl watch party in Palm Beach, Florida, on February 8. Screens behind him appear to be broadcasting the halftime show as Bad Bunny performs his 2022 song ‘Tití Me Preguntó,’

While Trump was in attendance at the Palm Beach event, it remains unclear whether Kid Rock’s performance from Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show was shown at the party, as the provided footage only shows Bad Bunny on a large screen.

The timing of the footage stood out because Kid Rock was simultaneously headlining Turning Point USA’s alternative halftime show, which the conservative group announced last October. The event also included performances by Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett, though Kid Rock was the main attraction.

Furthermore, just days earlier, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt suggested Trump’s preference was firmly with the rock musician. “I think the president would much prefer a Kid Rock performance over Bad Bunny, I must say that.”

Despite that statement, Bad Bunny’s performance appeared to play in the background at Trump’s Super Bowl gathering. Shortly after the halftime show ended, Trump posted a lengthy critique on Truth Social, writing, “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!” He continued, “Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World,” later adding that the show was a “slap in the face” to the country.

In contrast, Bad Bunny’s halftime performance focused on unity, closing with a display of flags from across the Americas and the message “The Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate is Love.”
