Olympian Gus Kenworthy Writes ‘F*** ICE’ in Snow With Urine

Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy has become the latest celebrity to raise their voice against ICE’s aggressive immigration strategy. The professional athlete, who also operates his own YouTube channel, recently took to social media to share a strong message against ICE, urging US citizens to reach out to their Senators in protest of the agency.

Gus Kenworthy’s anti-ICE protest goes viral

On February 5, shortly before his first skiing event at the 2026 Winter Olympics, the 34-year-old freestyle skier shared a hostile message against ICE.

Gus Kenworthy shared an image on his Instagram account that featured ‘f**k ice’ written on snow. More controversially, he allegedly used his urine to compose the message, turning many heads in the process. Kenworthy accompanied his anti-ICE photo with a lengthy note to the people who had also faced trouble at the hands of the federal agency.

“You can call your Senator at (202) 224-3121 to speak up against ICE and put pressure on them during the current DHS funding negotiations,” The Winter Olympic silver-medalist wrote before adding a sample script for people to use in their complaints.

“Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent from [Your City, State]. I’m calling to urge Senator [Name] to refuse to support any final Department of Homeland Security funding agreement that fails to meaningfully rein in ICE and Border Patrol. Innocent people have been murdered, and enough is enough. We can’t wait around while ICE continues to operate with unchecked power in our communities,” Kenworthy stated in his message against ICE.

The Great Britain representative further prompted his followers to ask their senators to enforce appropriate guardrails, which included “getting ICE and CBP out of our communities, ending blank-check funding for brutality, and establishing clear limits on warrantless arrests, profiling, and enforcement at sensitive locations like schools and hospitals.”

Notably, Gus Kenworthy’s post against ICE comes just days after Olympic-bound Team USA, comprising the nation’s figure skating, hockey, and speedskating groups, changed its name from ‘The Ice House’ to ‘The Winter House,’ in order to distance itself from the federal agency.
