The 2021 movie Spencer, starring Kristen Stewart, is leaving Netflix in the next couple of days. Notably, Stewart’s portrayal of Princess Diana in the movie earned her her first Academy Award nomination, along with many other accolades.

Spencer is leaving Netflix in less than a week

Spencer, starring Kristen Stewart, is leaving Netflix on Sunday, February 8, 2026 (via Tudum). Subscribers have less than a week to watch the movie before it exits the platform.

Set during the British royal family’s 1991 Christmas at Sandringham House, Norfolk, the story follows Diana, Princess of Wales (Stewart), as she struggles to grapple with her failing marriage to Charles, Prince of Wales, following his then-rumored affair with Camilla Parker Bowles. It also focuses on her mental health amid the mounting pressures of royal life and relentless public scrutiny.

Pablo Larraín helmed the historical psychological drama from a script by Steven Knight. The movie also stars Timothy Spall, Jack Farthing, Sean Harris, Sally Hawkins, and Amy Manson, among others, in prominent roles.

The film earned $25.2 million at the box office and currently holds an 83% score on the Tomatometer from 366 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, on Metacritic, the movie maintains a score of 76 from 53 critics, and 6.8 from 335 user ratings.

Along with its critical success, the movie earned Stewart several award nominations, including nominations at the Academy Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, and Golden Globes under the Best Actress category, though she did not win any.

Spencer is one of the several movies that will be removed from the streaming service soon. Other movies leaving Netflix soon include 28 Days Later, Groundhog Day, Parasite, and Zodiac. Currently, there is no information on which platform Spencer will move to next. However, it will still be available to rent and buy on PVOD sites like Amazon Prime Video.
