Elle Fanning & Michelle Pfeiffer’s New Series Teaser Released by Apple TV

Apple TV+ has released the first teaser for its hotly anticipated dramedy show starring Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer. The series, set to be released soon, offers a darkly comedic and contemporary take on motherhood and financial survival.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles teaser released by Apple TV

The Margo’s Got Money Troubles teaser introduces fans to Margo (Elle Fanning), a community college dropout whose life turns upside down. After confirming an unplanned pregnancy, she stares down the reality of mounting diaper costs. The clip, pulsating to Meek Mill’s “Fabulous,” captures her overwhelm as she dramatically lies down in a Bloomingdale’s aisle. But only to be chided by her mother, Shyanne (Michelle Pfeiffer), who declares, “There are no victims in Bloomingdale’s.”

Faced with her monetary crisis, Margo gets creative. The teaser reveals her unique entrepreneurial spirit, as she launches an alien-themed fetish account on OnlyFans. Fanning is seen painted green, branding the start of this unconventional journey. The financial pressures also bring her father, Jinx (Nick Offerman), an ex-pro wrestler fresh out of rehab, into her life. Towards the end of the teaser, he questions her activities, to which she demurely replies she’s making “educational videos.” The series also boasts an iconic cast, including Nicole Kidman, Thaddea Graham, and Marcia Gay Harden.

Based on Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel and adapted by prolific showrunner David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies), Margo’s Got Money Troubles has a release date of April 15, 2026. The first three episodes drop on the mentioned date, with new episodes releasing weekly through May 20.

At the press day, Fanning shared that she was drawn to Margo’s “spunk, and optimism,” and aimed to play post-partum life authentically with help from “all the mothers on set.” Kelley, who is married to Pfeiffer, joked that her agreeing to play Margo’s mother was “the second best ‘yes’ I’ve gotten from her” (via Variety).
