Tyla Enjoys A-Pop Win in Dress Held up by a Single String

Tyla officially solidified her status as the queen of African Pop at the 2026 Grammy Awards. During the ceremony held on February 1, the 24-year-old singer made history by winning her second trophy for Best African Music Performance.

Specifically, she won for her hit single “Push 2 Start,” beating out major stars like Burna Boy and Davido. This victory occurred just days after her star-studded birthday bash, making it the ultimate gift.

For her big night, Tyla turned music’s biggest outing into a Great Gatsby-coded event. She stunned the crowd in a champagne-colored Dsquared2 gown from their Fall 2013 archival collection. Because the dress was over a decade old, it perfectly blended old-world glamour with her modern “caramel mami” energy.

The ensemble featured a daring halter design held up by a razor-thin string, alongside a dramatic train covered in hundreds of wispy feathers. To complete the look, she wore nude open-toe stilettos by Paris Texas.

Furthermore, Tyla shimmered with the help of 116 individual Pandora lab-grown diamonds. As a global ambassador for the brand, she layered multiple white-gold chokers and bracelets to achieve what she called “effortless rich energy” via InStyle.
