Actor and comedian Will Arnett has revealed a shocking tidbit about a fellow comedian, which ended in the former booting off the artist in question from his Smartless podcast. The “BoJack Horseman” star detailed a scrapped episode from his fan-favorite podcast in a recent interview. He noted that it involved the hosts dismissing a high-profile guest due to their vexing behavior.

During his January 26 appearance on The Romesh Ranganathan Show, the 55-year-old actor disclosed that he recently asked a “very famous comedian” to leave the Smartless podcast he co-hosts with Sean Hayes and Jason Bateman after having endured enough of his bullish antics.
Will Arnett described the comic as a “f—ing rank a–hole.” Arnett added that he, Hayes, and Bateman “cut him off after 10 minutes and said, ‘thanks so much,’ and ditched him.” Arnett shied away from revealing the said comedian’s identity on camera. But, he admitted to Ranganathan that he would tell the British comic about the fired guest later. Nevertheless, the Primetime Emmy-nominated actor did give a small hint about who the comedian was. He stated, “You’ll be blown away by who it is. Because you’ll be like, ‘How did you get Bill Cosby!'”
Arnett talked about yet another deleted Smartless episode during the podcast. “We had a guest, a comedian, and she asked us to not air her episode,” he revealed. The veteran voice actor added that they refrained from taking the female comic’s request lightly as filming every episode of their podcast “costs us money.”
However, the comedian had insisted on not airing her episode. She said it was “because she thought that she was up-and-coming” and feared that if netizens were to take her quotes out of context, it could’ve jeopardized her career.
While Will Arnett and his co-hosts tried to assure the female comedian, they ultimately obliged with her request. Once again, the actor chose not to reveal the artist’s identity. Arnett said that he wouldn’t do so “until we’re absolutely cut.”
