Marjorie Taylor Greene addressed growing concerns about Donald Trump’s political priorities during a recent interview. The former congresswoman offered sharp criticism of the former president. She questioned whether his actions still aligned with the movement he once led.
Marjorie Taylor Greene talks about Donald Trump administration
On January 28, 2026, former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene spoke with Kim Iversen and criticized former President Donald Trump and his Make America Great Again movement. “MAGA is, I think, people are realizing, it was all a lie,” Greene said. “It was a big lie for the people.”
She claimed the Trump administration now serves “big, big donors,” including some from outside the U.S. “Those are the people that get the special favors,” she said. “They get the government contracts, they get the pardons or somebody they love or one of their friends gets a pardon.”
Greene also rejected the idea that Trump’s staff is to blame. “People always think, ‘Oh, it’s his staff.’ They want to blame everyone around him,” she explained. “There may be a point where people have to come to grips with this is Donald Trump.” In her view, Americans should acknowledge Trump’s direct role in these decisions.
She added further criticism of Fox News, a network she previously appeared on regularly. “People watching Fox News, every day, 24/7 with their volume turned all the way up… those are the baby boomers,” she said. “I love so many of the baby boomers, but they are the most brainwashed generation.” According to Greene, they are “spoon-fed the propaganda on TV” and “eat that crap… all day long.”
In November 2025, Greene announced her resignation from Congress, effective January 2026. She explained she would not run in a race that Trump was influencing negatively, saying he had “dumped tens of millions of dollars” against her.
She also said Trump became angry when she signed a petition to release the Epstein files. Later, Greene claimed she received security warnings due to threats “fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world.”
