Popular NBCUniversal Talk Show Ending After 7th Season

Kelly Clarkson and NBCUniversal addressed the future of one of daytime TV’s most talked-about shows ahead of its final season. The hit NBCUniversal series will end after seven seasons.

The Kelly Clarkson Show will conclude following its current season

Kelly Clarkson announced the decision on February 2, 2026, via Instagram, stating, “Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”

Clarkson shares two children, River Rose (11) and Remy (9), with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who died in August 2025 after a three-year battle with cancer. Production on Season 7 will continue as planned, with Clarkson hosting and occasional guest hosts filling in. The current season will air through fall 2026.

NBCUniversal confirmed the show’s ending to staff and crew the same day Clarkson made the public announcement. Clarkson added, “This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time… you never know where I might show up next.”

The talk show debuted in 2019, following Clarkson’s time as a coach on The Voice. It earned 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, including four consecutive wins for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and four for Outstanding Talk Show Host. Alex Duda served as executive producer and showrunner for all seven seasons.

Tracie Wilson, EVP, Syndication Studios, said, “Her warmth, quick sense of humor and connection with people created a show that made fans feel seen, heard and a little bit better about their day” (via Deadline). Valari Staab, Chairman of NBCUniversal Local, added, “We thank Kelly and the production team for the wonderful, high-quality show they’ve produced consistently since 2019.”
