Kim Kardashian ‘Embarassed’ Sussexes Over Deleted Photos — Expert

What started as a glamorous celebrity sighting has reportedly turned into an unexpected PR headache for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. After photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex briefly appeared, then vanished, from Kim Kardashian’s Instagram. Royal watchers and PR experts began questioning how the situation was handled.

Following Kardashian’s public explanation, some commentators suggest the fallout may have done more harm than good for the Sussexes’ public image.

According to royal commentators speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive, the situation surrounding the deleted images turned into a “disaster” due to how it was handled. The photos in question were taken at Kris Jenner’s lavish 70th birthday celebration in Montecito last November. Hosted at Jeff Bezos’ estate, the party was attended by high-profile guests. The guest list included Oprah Winfrey, Adele, and Justin and Hailey Bieber.

Candid shots showed Prince Harry in a tuxedo and Meghan Markle in an elegant black gown. When the images were quietly removed from Kim Kardashian’s Instagram, rumors circulated that the Sussexes were unhappy the photos had been shared without approval.

Speaking on her sister Khloe Kardashian’s podcast later, Kardashian said the images had, in fact, been approved before posting. She explained that after the photos went live, concerns were raised when it was realized the post coincided with Remembrance Day. According to Kardashian, the decision to take the images down came from a last-minute reconsideration rather than a feud. “We’re never ones to post without permission,” she said, adding that the situation was later acknowledged as “so silly.”

Despite this clarification, royal expert Rhiannon Mills argued the removal itself fueled unnecessary attention. She suggested that deleting the images created a bigger narrative than leaving them up would have. “I think they in a way made it into more of a story,” Mills said. She added that the moment turned into a perceived standoff that benefitted no one.

Nonetheless, Kardashian has since emphasized there is no tension between her family and the Sussexes. She even revealed she later approached Markle about a potential collaboration with her SKIMS brand.
