Ray J’s Estranged Wife Amends Protective Order Amid Health Update — Report

A sudden health scare has shifted the tone in the long-running and often tense relationship between Ray J and Princess Love. After the singer publicly shared alarming updates about his condition, Love took a significant legal step that puts their children first. The move comes against the backdrop of past conflict, ongoing divorce proceedings, and renewed concern over Ray J’s well-being.

Ray J’s estranged wife reportedly amends protective order

Princess Love has eased up on the protective order she previously filed against Ray J, opening the door for him to reconnect with both her and their kids. A Los Angeles judge signed off on the update on Jan. 30, which now allows Ray J to freely communicate and spend time with their daughter, Melody, 7, and son Epik, 6. His lawyer confirmed the revised order gives him full, unrestricted contact with his family.

In court, Love shared that the kids been asking about their dad and have been concerned about how he’s doing health-wise. “I would like them to see their father,” she told the judge, stressing that she believes they’ll be safe. The original protective order came after a serious incident in November. This was when Ray J was arrested following a heated argument that was livestreamed online. Authorities charged him with making a criminal threat after he allegedly pulled a gun during the dispute. He was booked in Los Angeles on Nov. 27, with bail set at $50,000, and released the same day.

The recent legal update also comes amid concerns about Ray J’s health. Earlier this month, he told fans that doctors warned him he only had months to live. It was after being hospitalized with heart problems and pneumonia. “My health is not okay,” he admitted, revealing he’s on multiple medications and may need a pacemaker or defibrillator.

Ray J later confirmed that doctors hadn’t given him a concrete timeline. However, he could still be “all right” if he stayed on track. He also owned up to his past, admitting years of alcohol and substance use had caught up with him.
