Sydney Sweeney on having to explain how breasts work: ‘Dealt with this my entire life’

Sydney Sweeney is all set to show her business acumen and establish her career as a successful entrepreneur. The 28-year-old launched her lingerie line, Syrn, on January 28 and even modeled a stunning lingerie set for the brand’s launch. During a conversation with Cosmopolitan, she opened up about the idea behind the brand.

Sweeney shared that she works with women designers and a diverse team, with a vision of making sure that everyone feels good in her brand’s products.

When asked about some of the absolute nonnegotiables she kept in mind while launching Syrn, she reflected on her own experience. The “Christy” actor revealed that if she wouldn’t wear it, she wouldn’t want to make it. She recalled buying her first wire silk bra in sixth grade, which she adored. She shared that she wanted to craft products that “stay with women.”

The actor revealed that she got “slammed” for what she wore in “Anyone But You.” She said that it was hard to explain to everyone that when one has breasts that are “heavy and not fake” and if the top doesn’t fit properly, then “it’s going to ride up.”

Keeping that in mind, she decided that no girl should ever feel the way she did. Sweeney shared having dealt with this all her life and how she had to explain how breasts “work for forever now.” Hence, she wanted to create something that feels comfortable for every girl.
