Kanye West’s Wall Street Journal advertisement, which was in the form of a page-long open letter, was Ye’s attempt to make amends with his fans. The “In A Perfect World” rapper apologizes for all of his past actions. This included his reportedly antisemitic remarks and other controversial comments. Furthermore, he also opened up about his bipolar disorder diagnosis and expressed extreme regret for letting the Black community down.
This letter read, “I’m not asking for sympathy or a free pass, though I aspire to earn your forgiveness. I write today simply to ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home.” Following this, he has finally decided to drop his much-awaited album, “Bully.” West has reportedly been working on this album for the past 3 years, and it is going to be the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” rapper’s 12th studio album. “Bully” is finally all set to arrive on March 20 this year.
For this, Ye has also partnered up with the coveted yet independent music company, Gamma. According to a press release, ‘the upcoming album will capture Ye in these moments as he wrestles with remorse, memory, ego, faith, and consequence.” Further, it also claimed that this music endeavour is supposed to be a documentation of his “internal experience during this time” as Ye is said to be “using music as storytelling rather than defense.”
