Travis Kelce Must ‘Prove’ Acting Talent To Stay in Hollywood, Says Insider

Travis Kelce’s road to Hollywood stardom may not be as easy as he had expected. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has enjoyed a successful career in the NFL. It now appears he is keen to explore greener pastures if he retires. However, Hollywood insiders firmly believe that Kelce has to “prove” himself to stay in the industry.

Travis Kelce gets a reality check regarding his Hollywood dream

Hollywood insiders are of the firm belief that Travis Kelce has to “prove” his acting talent and that popularity alone isn’t sufficient. The Chiefs tight end has expanded his media portfolio to commercials, appearances, and the uber-popular New Heights, along with his brother Jason Kelce. Not only that, he is engaged to the global pop icon Taylor Swift.

Amid retirement rumors, fans and critics are waiting to see what Kelce does next. A Hollywood insider told Star Magazine that the NFL star’s popularity and high-profile relationship with Swift aren’t enough. Kelce must have some serious acting chops to make a mark.

The insider shared, “No matter how high his profile is, nobody is just going to hand him anything. Nobody is getting on TV or into action movies unless they really want it and can prove they can handle that kind of responsibility.”

The source explained that Kelce has to prove his versatility beyond the wholesome and jovial personality that he’s known for. The insider added, “To branch out, Travis has to show that he can do more than a goofy appearance in Happy Gilmore 2. If he really wants this second career, he’s going to have to dance for it like everyone else!”

The insider dished that Kelce has to commit to a Hollywood career with as much passion and vigour as he has done for his decade-long NFL career. In other news, Kelce opted out of the 2026 Pro Bowl amid retirement rumors. He will miss the star-studded event, which will take place in San Francisco on February 3, during Super Bowl week.
