Simply titled MrBeast Burger, the viral food chain recently opened its latest international joint in Sydney, Australia. Nevertheless, not everyone seems to be excited about this development, especially the residents of Sydney, who have come out to share their displeasure with the restaurant’s unusually high prices.

MrBeast, AKA James Stephen “Jimmy” Donaldson, recently unveiled the first restaurant of his burger franchise in Australia, at Chatswood Westfield in Sydney’s North Shore. What was supposed to be a joyous occasion for the content creator, however, has seemingly turned into a controversy, with people talking more about the establishment’s prices than the restaurant itself.
A Reddit user has taken to the internet to share a photo of the Chatswood menu, which highlights the prices of the burger chain’s best-known items. According to the picture, one would have to pay 20.90 AUD (14.61 USD) to get their hands on the famous Beast Style burger.
Meanwhile, the Crispy Chicken Tender sandwich fetches a price of 19.90 AUD (13.91 USD), with the Nashville Hot Chicken Tender costing 20.90 AUD (14.61 USD).
Poking fun at the recently opened MrBeast Burger joint, another Reddit user wrote, “Going to be closing down in 6 months.” Moreover, a third user mocked the YouTuber and his young audience by noting, “His fans are going to need a lot more pocket money to afford that.”
A consumer of MrBeast’s Feastables echoed the sentiments, adding, “After trying his awful chocolate bar I am not in any hurry to eat here.” Furthermore, one user highlighted the shockingly high price (5.80 AUD/4.06 USD) of bottled water at the restaurant, writing, “5.80 for bottled water. Must be the water from the Fountain of Youth.”
