Duolingo Debuts ‘Bad Bunny 101’ Ahead of Super Bowl 2026

Duolingo launches “Bad Bunny 101” ahead of Super Bowl 2026. It seems the popular language-learning app is taking advantage of the Super Bowl season by inviting fans to brush up on their Spanish ahead of the mega event. For those unversed, the Puerto Rican rapper will be headlining the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. The event will be held on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Duolingo brings ‘Bad Bunny 101’ as Super Bowl prep

Duolingo debuts “Bad Bunny 101” to help fans improve their Spanish ahead of the Super Bowl. The language app released a video on their Instagram, cashing in on the hype of the mega sports event. The video is captioned, “Bad Bunny 101. Welcome to your unofficial halftime show prep. Learn more Spanish on Duolingo (it’s free).”

Duolingo’s iconic mascot, the bright green owl, pops on the screen with the caption, “Let’s learn Bad Bunny 101.” A bunch of Spanish words appear on the screen, and fans have to guess the correct one from the options provided. The green owl answers the questions itself.

Interestingly, they aren’t regular Spanish words but ones with mischievous meanings like “twerk.” Additionally, the green owl twerks to demonstrate the meaning more effectively.

Interestingly, the Super Bowl is the season for great advertising and marketing campaigns, as it guarantees high footfall and massive publicity. It is incredible to witness Duolingo garner enormous publicity without spending much money or resources.

Additionally, Duolingo has marketed its app by attaching its name to the first Super Bowl headliner of Latin origin. It seems like the well-thought-out promotional campaign paid off; it garnered 149K likes, 74.4K shares, 9,001 retweets, and 687 comments.

One fan commented, “This is excellent work. I want a full lesson on Bad Bunny lyrics in my app by 9 a.m. tomorrow!!” A second fan wrote, “Need a way to keep the Bad Bunny Duo in the app for good,” accompanied by fire emojis. A third fan penned, “Thanks, Duo, I can understand my favorite artist because of you.” Finally, one fan suggested, “You guys should add Bad Bunny songs to Duolingo Music.”
