Kendall Jenner has a message for her NBA ex-boyfriends in new Super Bowl ad
Kendall Jenner took a dig at her NBA ex-boyfriends in a new Super Bowl ad. Not only that, but she also mocked the infamous “Kardashian curse” in the new ad, released on January 27. For those unversed, she’s been romantically paired with basketball stars Jordan Clarkson, Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons, and Devin Booker in the past (via PEOPLE).
The campaign is cheekily titled “Bet on Kendall” and starts with a voice-over that narrates, “Betting on the right guy with Fanatics Sportsbook, explained by Kendall Jenner.” The fashion influencer is sitting comfortably on her rooftop, sipping her tea and enjoying the scenic view.
“Haven’t you heard? The internet says I’m cursed,” Jenner says with a smile. For those unversed, a long-running internet theory holds that if Jenner’s name is associated with any basketball player, the player faces certain consequences. The reality TV star takes the joke head-on and stars in a campaign essentially mocking herself.
Jenner dishes, “Any basketball player who dates me kind of hits a rough patch. While the world’s been talking about it, I’ve been betting on it. How else do you think I can afford all this… modeling!?”
The fashion influencer then shows off her luxuries, including her grand mansion-like home, her car, and her private jet. While doing so, she thanks each of her former partners by calling them “boyfriend number one, two,” and so on.
Finally, she remarks, “But today, it’s time to bet on something new. Football players.” The air hostess announces, “Next stop, San Francisco.” Jenner quips, “football boyfriend,” and roars into laughter. The in-video text reads, “winning hits different here.”
