New Dragon Ball Game Set for 2027 With a Brand-New Character

Dragon Ball Games official social media account announced that they will be launching a new game with an original Akira Toriyama creation. Titled “AGE 1000,” it is set to release sometime in 2027. The new game will introduce a brand-new Dragon Ball world alongside entirely original characters.

New Dragon Ball game to release with original Akira Toriyama character

Dragon Ball Games recently announced that they will be debuting a new game in 2027. It will also feature a never-before-seen original character by Akira Toriyama, who unfortunately passed away in 2024.

The company wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Unveiling a never-before-seen original character—designed by Akira Toriyama—for the new Dragon Ball Game Project, ‘AGE 1000,’ set for 2027! The latest updates will be unveiled at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 in the U.S. on April 18-19.”

Age 1000 is reportedly a new standalone Dragon Ball Games project and is currently in development. The artwork depicts an unnamed character sporting white hair and tanned skin. It also dons a black bodysuit with Capsule Corp attire.

Unsurprisingly, the post has since garnered 594.8K likes and 1.2K retweets. One fan predicted, “This is definitely online-related. The present in DBO is the Age 1000. Z ends in the Age 784 (World Tournament with Uub). I bet this new character is a descendant of Bulma and Vegeta.”

Moreover, another fan wrote, “Akira is smiling rn”, accompanied by a crying emoji. A third user penned, “Kid me only had to wait 15 years for the peak. I can’t believe it.”

Meanwhile, a fourth fan chimed in, “So there are more Toriyama art,” followed by many heart emojis. Finally, one user shared, “Honestly, I thought they looked slightly silly at first, but… the more I look at the character, the more I like it!”

According to the graphic attached to the X post, AGE 1000 will introduce even more unique characters as the adventure unfolds. Per Dexerto, the new hero could also extract powers from existing characters in one way or another. Furthermore, more details regarding the project will arrive at Dragon Ball Games’ Battle Hour 2026 in the US in April.
