Guy Fieri’s Super Bowl Ad Look Makes Him Unrecognizable

Guy Fieri flaunted his new clean-cut look for Bosch’s Super Bowl ad. He discussed his transformation in a recent interview. Super Bowl commercials are not only a status symbol but also serve as an incredible way to advertise your brand and connect with fans on one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

Guy Fieri adopts a fresh look in Bosch Super Bowl ad

Guy Fieri debuted an interesting look for Bosch’s Super Bowl ad. The Food Network star spoke to PEOPLE about his unexpected transformation and how the makeover even fooled his own family. Fieri revealed he ditched his trademark goatee, let go of his spiky blond hair, and stepped into the role of someone he calls “JustaGuy.”

The renowned American restaurateur told PEOPLE magazine about fully committing to the role and surrendering himself to the brand’s vision for the Super Bowl ad. He confessed, “If you’re going to go big, go big. They said, ‘Well, can you shave your goatee?’ And I said, ‘I would for this. This is such an important commercial. This is such a big deal.’”

The Bosch ad features Fieri in two distinct avatars – one as the fiery, no-holds-barred personality that audiences know and love. The second one, however, is diametrically opposite to this. In the second avatar, Fieri is clean-cut and neatly dressed. Based on the ad, he looks thoroughly convincing. So much so that his family members reportedly couldn’t tell the two avatars apart.

Fieri shared the ad on Instagram on Thursday, January 22, which also happened to be his birthday. He captioned the video with a simple, “New Year. New Guy. New Look.” Fieri recalled, “I sent the picture to my mom and she said, ‘Who is that?’ She said, ‘It really looks a lot like you, but I know it’s not you.’ I said, ‘Mom, that’s me.’”

Fans left unabashed comments in his Instagram section. His son, Hunter Fieri, commented, “Dad… when did you start selling insurance?” A second fan wrote, “The best video I’ve seen ever. HBD,” accompanied by multiple heart emojis.
