Fans blown away by Travis Scott’s The Odyssey cameo

The ‘Goosebumps’ rapper’s first look in The Odyssey was unveiled during a TV spot at the NFL AFC Championship. In the short clip, his character, standing on the table, commandingly addresses the soldiers, which also includes Tom Holland’s Telemachus and Jon Bernthal’s Menelaus. This unexpected cameo has since garnered massive attention on the internet, with fans sharing their reactions on the same.

A fan wrote, “What part of Greece is he supposed to be from?” Another one added, “Wait Travis Scott and Christopher Nolan that was not on my bingo card.” A third one wrote, “This is a tweet I never expected to read.” Another one tweeted, “had no idea he was in it?!!!!”

Anticipating the release, a fan penned, “Nolan casting Travis Scott feels like he’s redefining what it means to blend pop culture with epic cinema. Can’t wait to see how this plays out.” Other reactions also included, “They got a AstroWorld in Greece,” “Bro is there to make them fein,” and “travis scott in a nolan film is wild.”

This isn’t the first time Scott and Nolan have collaborated, given that the former did record a song called “The Plan” for the latter’s expensive movie, Tenet. In an interview with GQ, Nolan spoke about Scott’s musical contribution, calling it the “final piece” to his movie. “His voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle,” Nolan said. “His insights into the musical and narrative mechanism [composer] Ludwig Göransson and I were building were immediate, insightful, and profound,” he added.

The Odyssey arrives in theaters on July 17, 2026.
