Ex-Prince Andrew Is Refusing to Live Without This Luxury — Source

Ex-Prince Andrew is reportedly refusing to downgrade one comfort while downsizing his home. The 65-year-old former Duke of York is said to be leaving Royal Lodge soon. This week, sources reportedly claimed his first request was premium television and fast broadband. The move is underway, and technicians were reportedly called in early. As a result, insiders say screen time stays non-negotiable during this transition.

Ex-Prince Andrew wants access to ‘full package’ of TV channels

According to a RadarOnline report dated January 21, 2026, he is in the final stages of moving. The outlet said he is leaving Royal Lodge after more than 20 years. Removal vans were also spotted at Windsor this week.

The outlet said Marsh Farm sits on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. It described the former working farm as being renovated ahead of his arrival. As per the report, renovations are being pushed through on a tight timeline.

Meanwhile, technicians were reportedly fitting premium satellite television and high-speed broadband at Marsh Farm. However, sources claimed the television setup came first. One insider told the outlet, “The priority was Sky TV.”

Another source added, “Television is the one thing he refuses to live without.” They also said he wants “constant access to news, sport, films.” The inside further shared, “And not just the basics – staff are saying he specifically asked for the full package.”

Contractors were reportedly installing fencing, CCTV, and security lighting. In addition, drainage work and internal refits are ongoing. Separately, the outlet claimed Sarah Ferguson will not join ex-Prince Andrew at Marsh Farm.

The place is two miles from Sandringham House. For now, the ex-Prince is expected to leave Windsor before February 19. A temporary stay will be arranged elsewhere on the Sandringham estate until early April. Finally, a local observer told the outlet, “Everything is being pushed through quickly.” They added, “The irony is that the most talked-about feature is the television setup.”
