Chris Pratt revealed that he encountered an awkward moment in front of Angelina Jolie on the set of Wanted. After relocating to California from Utah, he was offered the role and was completely starstruck upon learning that Jolie was part of the project. Pratt recalled being involved in a fight sequence where, unaware of what the camera was actually capturing, he remained on the ground longer than necessary and was accidentally stepped on the head by the camera operator. The cameraman yelled at him for lying on the ground and ruining his cinematographic movements, causing massive embarrassment.

In a conversation with Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Pratt detailed the events of a fight scene in Wanted, where his character is knocked down and has to lie on the floor. He said, “Now, this was before I was still so green. I didn’t quite understand what was ever being filmed. I was just new, I was there doing my bit, and I didn’t know what the camera was picking up or not picking up. And so I get punched. I’m in the top of the scene. I fall down. I’m never seen again in the scene.”
However, Pratt revealed that he wasn’t aware that his shot ended there, and he continued to remain on the ground. As the camera operator was doing his backward movements to capture another scene, he stepped onto his head. After realizing Pratt was lying, the camera operator yelled at him and asked him why he was still on the ground. The moment caused him massive embarrassment in front of Jolie.
“He’s [the camera operator] like, “What the f**k are you doing? I was so embarrassed. Bro, Miss Jolie, I don’t I usually move my head, but I didn’t. I was like, I don’t know. I’m just doing what we [ _ ] rehearsed 30 times. [clears throat] I’m good,” he said.
Revealing how Jolie reacted, he added, “[She] was like, are you okay, sweetheart? I’m okay. I’m okay. I think I’m okay. Kind of embarrassed.” In the film, Jolie portrayed Fox, a skilled member of the Fraternity and a mentor to Wesley, while Pratt played Barry, Wesley’s co-worker and best friend.
