Fans are aware that collaborations with popular food brands are not only innovative but also a reliable promotional tactic. It seems like Marvel is already setting the base for their highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, which will release on December 18 this year.
Oreo brings new Marvel cookies with unique creme
Oreo is launching a new Marvel-themed cookie collaboration that will present 32 unique characters, but with an interesting twist. It will feature color-changing creme. It is known as the Marvel X Oreo Stuf of Legends and will debut on February 2. Additionally, it will be available at all major retail stores nationwide. (via Dexerto).
Oreo Vice President Matt Foley shared his excitement in a statement to the media. Foley said, “This collaboration takes the iconicity of both brands and channels it into an experience where fans are not just spectators, but participants — encouraged to immerse themselves in Super Hero-inspired play through the lens of OREO cookies.” (via ABC News).
The pre-sales for this limited-edition collab item begin on January 26 and reveal characters from Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. According to Oreo, the collaboration includes four special-edition packs, custom-designed illustrations by the talented Marvel Comics artist Todd Nauck, and a wide assortment of cookies across the many universes and characters.
However, the most exciting aspect is that the Oreo cookies will introduce a first-of-its-kind color-changing creme that changes from metallic gray to electric blue while eating. The Stuf of Legends cookies feature 32 popular characters from the Marvel universe. This includes Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Spider-Man, and Wolverine, among others.
Interestingly, only three of the four Stuf of Legends Oreo cookie packets will be made available in retail stores. However, the fourth pack will be unveiled as part of a fan-driven interactive promotion. Hence, from February 2 onwards, Marvel fans can scan a QR code on their Stuf of Legends packets. Alternatively, fans can visit the MarvelOREOStufOfLegends website for a chance to enter a sweepstakes to win and design an at-home Marvel command center.
