Source says it will be ‘next to impossible’ to serve Taylor Swift with a witness summons

Taylor Swift was dragged into Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s sexual assault case last year. Although she seemingly clarified her name, the singer continued to make headlines related to the legal battle. Due to this, her friendship with the “Gossip Girl” alum was allegedly affected. Recently, a source connected to the “It Ends With Us” director’s legal team gave an update to Us Weekly regarding the upcoming trial.

They claimed that it would reportedly be “next to impossible to serve” Swift with a witness summons. Earlier this week, a chain of text messages exchanged between the two ladies was obtained by the outlet. Referring to those, the insider stated that the conversation has “spoken for themselves, so they won’t need [Swift] as a witness.”

For those unversed, the award-winning songwriter has sung one of the tracks, “My Tears Ricochet,” in the movie in question. It was included in the “It Ends With Us” trailer. As per the latest documents, Swift and Lively talked about the song in their text messages. Furthermore, the 36-year-old vocalist allegedly cursed at Baldoni and added a reference about “his tiny violin.”

Reportedly, the exchange also included the pop star pointing out the Hollywood actress’s messages read like a “mass corporate email sent to 200 employees.” “And it feels awful to be in any way critical of any way you process what you’ve been going through, but I just kinda miss my funny, dark, normal-speaking friend who talks to me as herself,” it further read.
