A popular Disney+ fantasy series appears to be securing its future well ahead of schedule. According to a new report, the show has already been renewed for a fourth season, even though its third has yet to premiere.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians likely won’t end with Season 3
On January 22, 2026, X user @MyTimeToShineHello posted, “I hear Percy Jackson has already been renewed for season 4 on Disney+.” Disney has not yet confirmed this renewal.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 has ended, with all episodes now available on Disney+ and Hulu. A preview of Season 3 appeared during the credits of the Season 2 finale. It confirmed that the series will return in 2026.
Monica Mercuri of Forbes stated that “the turnaround for Season 3 will be much quicker” than the two-year gap between the first two seasons. An exact release date has not been provided, but production is ongoing in Vancouver, and the season is expected to release in late 2026.
Season 3 will adapt The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Rick Riordan’s series. The book was not previously made into a film. According to Riordan’s website, Grover finds “two powerful half-bloods whose parentage is unknown,” while the goddess Artemis goes missing. Percy, Annabeth, and the Hunters of Artemis must find Artemis and stop a monster that could destroy Olympus. They have one week to complete their mission and face “the chilling prophecy of the titan’s curse.”
The Season 2 finale introduces a major plot change. Chiron reveals that Zeus turned Thalia into a pine tree. She had refused to be used in the fight against Kronos. This contradicts the book version, where Thalia fights monsters to protect her friends. After she wakes from a coma, Thalia asks about Luke. Percy begins to wonder if she is the child mentioned in the Great Prophecy.
Walker Scobell told Variety, “I almost feel like there’s less pressure, because I don’t think there’s anything to really compare it to.” The main cast, including Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri, will return for Season 3.
As of now, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 4 is not officially renewed.
