Prince Harry’s next trip back to the United Kingdom will reportedly be hasty and all about court, and one royal expert suggests the timing all but rules out any family reunion with King Charles or Prince William. Harry is due in London in the coming days for a High Court case. While the U.K. visit puts him back on the same soil as his father and brother, catching up with his family appears impossible for the Duke of Sussex.

The Mirror reported that both King Charles and Prince William will not be in London for most of Harry’s trip to the U.K., making a reunion out of the question. Charles is currently at the Balmoral Castle in Scotland and will carry out royal duties early in the week before returning to London on Tuesday, just ahead of the day Harry will be in the court.
Moreover, Prince William will keep his distance. He reportedly has plans to travel to Scotland with Kate Middleton for engagements in Stirling and Falkirk. And on the day Harry is expected in court, William will be away from London for engagements in Bristol.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror, “It should be such a straightforward relationship: father and son, reuniting from time to time even though they live on different continents. But it is very much NOT straightforward. Theirs is a relationship fraught with complexity.”
Additionally, Bond pointed to huge differences between Charles and Harry. She claimed, “We know from Harry’s book that Charles adamantly disagrees with his son over pursuing — and suing — the tabloid press,” adding, “The King believes he and the rest of the family should generally just rise above it and get on with their lives and jobs. Harry has made it a crusade to ‘reform’ the UK press.”
Furthermore, Bond anticipated, “Harry will concentrate on his court case and the chances are he won’t be seeing his father – or of course his brother, during this trip.” The expert believed “it’s going to be a while yet before there can be any hope of a resolution.” So, any real breakthrough or reunion between King Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry will take time.
