Reese Witherspoon Hints at Jennifer Garner’s’ Dark Side in Video

Reese Witherspoon took a friendly jab at Jennifer Garner in one of her recent Instagram videos. The Academy Award winner sarcastically says that Garner has a “dark side,” and notes how late the actress is for a meeting. Meanwhile, she has two missed calls from the Peppermint star.

Reese Witherspoon says Jennifer Garner is ‘just so hard to work with’

Reese Witherspoon recently shared a hilarious video on Instagram talking about Jennifer Garner while waiting for a call from her. “You’re not recording, right?” Witherspoon asked the person behind the camera. The Legally Blonde star then turned to another person off-camera and said, “Jen Garner is just so hard to work with.”

The clip then switches to Garner, who is trying to FaceTime Witherspoon. Meanwhile, the latter continued, “People think of her as this nice lady from West Virginia, and she takes care of kids that are underserved, and she’s got three kids. She makes her own Pop-Tarts? But, like, she’s got a dark side. I don’t know what it is, but she has it.”

Once again, the video shows the Alias star waiting for Witherspoon to pick up the call. Unaware of the incoming call, the 49-year-old said, “She’s actually two minutes late for this phone call. Like, my time doesn’t matter? Like, my time is not important.”

Garner then turned to the camera and said, “Boss lady never misses a call.” Then someone off-camera tells Witherspoon, “Oh! She just said she tried you.” Caught off guard, Witherspoon burst into laughter and checked her phone, adding, “She tried me twice.”

Reese Witherspoon posted the video with the caption, “I love you, @jennifer.garner.” Garner then responded, “A thousand pardons for keeping you waiting, Queen!”

The two beloved actresses have been friends for a long time. Recently, they collaborated professionally on Apple TV+’s whodunnit drama, The Last Thing He Told Me. While Garner plays the lead role as Hannah Hall, Witherspoon serves as one of the show’s executive producers. The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 will air on Friday, Feb 20, 2026.
