Kanye West’s wife, Bianca Censori, seems to have taken to the Yeezy founder’s musical talents, as she recently flaunted her own. On January 16, she took to her Instagram stories to post a video of herself sitting cross-legged on the floor while she played a handpan, also known as a Hang-style drum.
Bianca Censori turns heads with new talent
As reported by Page Six, Kanye West’s wife Bianca Censori flaunted her handpan-playing skills in a video. The futuristic, minimal instrument, developed in Switzerland, had a smooth, UFO-like steel body with a slightly domed top and a circular central note, surrounded by tone fields that produce different pitches when tapped with the hands.
When Censori played the handpan in her lap with soft, gentle hands, it created soft, resonant, bell-like tones. In the video, her black outfit featured a halter neckline with straps that crossed elegantly at her neck. She was wearing her long, black hair down with an apparent side part. Neither the clip had a caption nor did the designer speak at any point.
This video came weeks after Bianca Censori debuted her first jewellery collection, which took inspiration from scalpels and speculums. She also launched a furniture line, seamlessly blending the contorted bodies of her look-alikes into the designs.
On December 31, Kanye West took to Instagram for the first time in a while to share a post supporting her new endeavour. Alongside a carousel of images of the new furniture designs, he wrote, “So proud of my wife @biancacensori.” He also shared a link to an article from the Architectural Digest Middle East about her wife’s new line.
In a January 19 report, the Daily Mail stated that a now-viral photo captured West and Censori posing with North West, the Grammy winner’s oldest daughter with his first wife, Kim Kardashian. In the picture, the Australian designer wore an asymmetrical white dress with a high neck. She struck a ballerina-like pose, while North did not look too thrilled.
