Ever since the news of the upcoming God of War series, based on the famous game, was confirmed, fans have been discussing how its future depends on the casting choices. It looks like it’s been a great start to the project. Prime Video recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news, captioning it, “Meet Ryan Hurst, your Kratos in the God of War series coming to Prime Video.”

Ryan Hurst being cast as Kratos has fans talking

Ryan Hurst has always been known for his incomparably strong acting skills. His acting in The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, and even Bates Motel has proven that he can handle a wide range of genuinely intense roles. This would explain why his fans are so excited about his casting as Kratos.

One of them excitedly commented, “Big Baddie casting. He’s the perfect grizzly for this role!” Meanwhile, another fan exclaimed, “I don’t see it…AT ALL…said NO ONE!” Furthermore, another fan even joked, “I won’t pass judgment till I hear him say the line!”

Some of them even called this the “first genuinely good casting we’ve seen in a long time.” However, it was clear that all of them just “can’t wait” to see this game come to life as a series, and that too, on Prime Video. They also truly believed this game couldn’t get any better, and hence, they really don’t want to be disappointed with the series.

Another fan also added, “A God of War series would go hard.” Whereas another fiercely stated, “Wow, not bad! I really like the game; it can only get better!” It’s clear fans are all looking forward to this one and can’t wait to hear more about the rest of the cast.

For the unversed, the God of War franchise is a critically acclaimed series of action-adventure games. Santa Monica Studio developed it and follows the journey of the Spartan warrior Kratos through Greek and later Norse mythology.
