Nikki Glaser revealed all the jokes that didn’t make the cut for the Golden Globes during her recent interview with Howard Stern. Not only did the comedian share jokes about multiple celebrities, but had also planned a jab at ICE.
Nikki Glaser talks about jokes that she omitted from Golden Globes
At one point during her interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Glaser pulled out the list of all the lines that she removed from her Golden Globes outing. Calling it the “Stern File,” the comedian read out some jokes that didn’t make it on air on Sunday Night.
“I was gonna come in at some point and say, ‘I’m hearing from the bar that we’re out of ice. And you know what? We don’t really need ICE. And actually, I hate ICE. I’ve never even wanted ICE,'” she began. “It was gonna be something like that, and even that’s just like, being jokey about it — it’s too trivial,” Glaser added.
Glaser had also crafted punchlines for Brad Pitt. “Brad Pitt is nominated for his role in F1 tonight. See, that’s what I love about Hollywood. When a man turns 60, he gets to play a racecar driver. Meanwhile, after 35, every role for a woman is a tired mom who hates her life.” She also added, “Brad did a lot of his own driving in the movie. And Brad, I don’t want to embarrass you, but your blinker was on the whole time there.”
Glaser’s removed joke for Sweeney and her movie Christy went as follows: “People just aren’t going to the theaters to see things, and if you don’t believe me: there was a movie this year where Sydney Sweeney played a lesbian who just bounced around in tiny shorts for two hours, and it made $14.” Glaser decided to cut the joke since the actress was not in attendance and the “audiences just didn’t like it.”
Other celebrities that Glaser had originally planned jokes about include One Battle After Another stars Chase Infiniti and Sean Penn, as well as Wicked stars Jonathan Bailey and Jeff Goldblum, among others.
