Mark Ruffalo Calls Donald Trump ‘Worst Human Being’

After Renee Nicole Goode was shot to death by an ICE agent in one of the most condemned incidents in recent years, many Hollywood celebrities drew attention to the issue during the Golden Globe Awards red carpet on January 11, 2026. Mark Ruffalo, a Hollywood veteran and Marvel star, was vocal about his stance on the issue and called out President Donald Trump directly during his appearance.

Many renowned actors and celebrities protested the death of Renee Goode, who was shot by an ICE agent in her car. The shooting of the 37-year-old American mother and writer took place during a large-scale federal immigration operation involving approximately 2,000 agents in the Twin Cities. This was after Goode had dropped her youngest child off at school.

Many celebrities, including Mark Ruffalo and Wanda Sykes, came wearing pins reading “BE GOOD” and “ICE OUT” on the Golden Globes 2026 red carpet.

Mark Ruffalo was quite vocal about his stance as he spoke to USA Today about the tragic incident. Ruffalo said, “This is for Renee Nicole Goode, who was murdered.” He added, referring to Donald Trump, “We’re in the middle of a war with Venezuela that we illegally invaded. He’s telling the world that international law doesn’t matter to him. The only thing that matters to him is his own morality.”

The Avengers star added, “He’s the worst human being. If we’re relying on this guy’s morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we’re all in a lot of trouble.”

“So this is for her,” Ruffalo concluded, “This is for the people in the United States who are terrorized and scared today. I know I’m one of them. I love this country. And what I’m seeing here happening is not America.”

Wanda Sykes also did not hold back in her criticism on the red carpet.
