The Golden Globes 2026 took place on Sunday, January 11, and there was a lot that happened during the ceremony, including a presentation by legendary rapper Snoop Dogg. During his time on stage, the “Next Episode” rapper said something that was censored during the broadcast. Fans watching at home may be curious about what he said that had to be cut out.
What Snoop Dogg said at live Golden Globes show
Midway through the Golden Globes 2026 ceremony, Snoop Dogg took the stage to present the first-ever Best Podcast award. He entered with his 2004 hit “Drop It Like It’s Hot” playing in the background.
“Stop the music!” he began as he stepped onto the stage. “I need y’all to loosen up a little bit. This is the double-G’s, the double-G’s, it’s the Golden Globes, and you’re with the D-O-double-G,” the veteran rapper continued. “So, make sure you enjoy yourself, don’t be no stiff biff! Move around a little bit!”
Snoop Dogg then spoke about the category he was presenting. “Best Podcast is a very important category for me, because, before podcasts, I was what y’all would listen to driving around in your cars. To you podcasters, you better hope I don’t get in that game.” He further added, “Shout-out to the Golden Globes for putting the podcast category in this awards show. And shout-out to all of the podcasters. You all are winners, but the real winner is…”
At that moment, the rapper said something that was censored on television. However, Entertainment Weekly, which was in the room at the time, later revealed what Dogg said. “I’m high as a motherf—er right now. Y’all had me here too damn long!” the rapper said.
He then revealed that Amy Poehler had won the award for her Good Hang podcast.
Later that night, Teyana Taylor was also censored after saying, “Oh my God, this s*** is heavy,” upon winning the award for One Battle After Another.
