Allen did a standup at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, where he recalled the time he shouted during one of the MI movies, which resulted in his surprising interaction with Cruise. He reflected on his tendency to yell during films, a habit that surfaced even during the premiere of The Final Reckoning. He said, “‘You know, this celebrity s**t, I say hi to these people like I know them. When I go in there, I want the swag. I want the Mission: Impossible hat.”

Allen revealed that 30 minutes into the movie, he already yelled “bullsh*t” loudly during a power-packed action sequence. Describing the scene, he said, “Some BMW seven series goes off of a parking structure, lands – nose first – flips over. Cruise gets out and just does this…” He mimicked Cruise’s composed behavior after the crash. Explaining his reason to use the curse word, he added, “It would’ve killed Batman, so I said “bulls**t”!”

He claimed that after his heckle, the whole theater went silent and everyone had their eyes on him. A theatergoer also taunted him with “Yeah, it’s kind of funny Mr. [Buzz] Lightyear?” Feeling sorry about his behavior, Allen elaborated, “‘I try to apologize. ‘Yeah, I’m just f**king around.'” He further described, “Cruise’s ears are bright red.”

After the movie’s conclusion, Cruise remembered Allen’s funny moment and later approached him. Revealing his reaction to their meeting, Allen described, “‘He walks down the f**king aisle, looks at me. I’m scared to death, even though the dude is literally this tall.” He revealed that he said his “hi” and “bye” after apologizing to Cruise for ruining the theater environment. Through their interaction, he derived that Cruise was a “nice guy” (via Daily Mail).
