Jordan recently revealed how Boseman’s legacy inspired his intense performance in Sinners. During a CBS Sunday Morning interview, Tracy Smith gently probed Michael B. Jordan on Ryan Coogler’s remark that Chadwick Boseman’s passing had hit him hardest.

Visibly moved, Jordan’s voice cracked as he talked about his special bond with Boseman, wishing they had more time together. Steering the conversation back to Sinners, Michael B. Jordan revealed that nailing the Southern dialect was a daunting task. It was Ryan Coogler’s words, asking him to consider “what would Chad do in the situation,” that flipped the switch, and Jordan’s accent flowed effortlessly.

The Black Panther actor shared that recalling how Chadwick Boseman brought T’Challa to life helped him find his rhythm. “He [Boseman] never broke, he always kept his accent, when he was at home, when he was on set, he always had itz”, Jordan reminisced.

In a poignant nod to their bond, Michael B. Jordan carried Chadwick Boseman’s spirit with him into Sinners. By embracing Coogler’s advice, he tapped into a deeper connection and keeping the Marshall actor in his thoughts “made a difference” for him.

Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan shared screens in the MCU movie, Black Panther, as T’Challa and Erik Killmonger, respectively. Along with global stardom, the movie gifted them with a lifelong bond in the form of a lasting friendship.

Looking ahead, the dynamic Sinners duo of Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler is showing no signs of slowing down. As Sinners wraps up its awards season run, Jordan has his eyes set on The Thomas Crown Affair remake. He might also team up with Will Smith for the sequel to I Am Legend.  Meanwhile, Coogler is working on Black Panther 3 and the reboot of The X-Files.
