Rose Byrne walks about working with Brad Pitt on Troy

Rose Byrne has become a well-established name in the industry. She is widely recognized for her comedy performances, but she has also proven her ability to portray complex dramatic roles. She recently starred in the critically acclaimed film If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, which has been generating Oscar buzz.

Byrne opened up about her role in Troy, a defining milestone in her career, during an interview with W Magazine. She played Brad Pitt’s love interest in the film. “It was daunting, it was thrilling, it was radical, and I couldn’t even begin to think where to start with Linda, my character,” the Platonic star said.

“I had a huge creative task, but it was also a great opportunity,” she added. Byrne also revealed that she was extremely nervous even about watching the film. In Troy, Byrne portrayed Briseis, the Princess of Troy. The character was a priestess of the Trojan Temple of Apollo who was taken prisoner by the Greeks and later fell in love with Achilles.

“I did not start in comedies,” Byrne said. “I was in Troy, as the slave girl opposite Brad Pitt. It was swords and sandals and very serious.”

She also spoke about her on-screen romantic partner, adding, “Brad was such a sweetheart.”

The star-studded film also featured Orlando Bloom as Paris, Diane Kruger as Helen, Brian Cox as Agamemnon, Eric Bana as Hector, Peter O’Toole as Priam, and Sean Bean as Odysseus.

Rose Byrne remains active in the industry with roles in both television and film. She will next appear in The Good Daughter, an upcoming television series from Peacock.
