Season 2 of the renowned crime thriller Cross has a release date, setting up its return to Prime Video this year. Cross first premiered on the streaming platform on November 14, 2024. Created by Ben Watkins, the TV show has a large cast, including stars such as Aldis Hodge, Jeanine Mason, Isaiah Mustafa, Samantha Walkes, and Alona Tal, among others.
Cross Season 2 to hit Prime Video next month
Cross Season 2, featuring Aldis Hodge as the lead, is set to return to Prime Video on February 11, 2026. The trailer for the show was shared by the streaming platform on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to a press release made by Prime Video on October 9, 2025, Season 2 will premiere with three episodes. The season will then follow a weekly release pattern. The finale of Season 2 is scheduled to air on March 18, 2026. The show is adapted from the popular Alex Cross novels written by James Patterson. The story of Season 2, according to the press release, will see Cross “in pursuit of a ruthless vigilante who is hunting down corrupt billionaire magnates.”
Starring alongside returning cast members from Season 1, new cast members will include Jeanine Mason, Wes Chatham, and Matthew Lillard.
Cross quickly became a hit on Prime Video and garnered approximately 40 million views in the first 20 days of its release. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show got a score of 76 percent on the Tomatometer based on critic reviews. On Popcornmeter, the show earned a score of 64 percent based on audience reviews.
While speaking to Variety in November 2024, star Aldis Hodge spoke about whether Ryan Eggold’s character, Ramsey, would appear in Season 2. He said, “You know good well I can’t tell you that. Am I open to the idea of seeing Ramsey again? Absolutely. I cannot confirm or deny what we’ve discussed.”
