After SNL previously announced Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard as the first host of 2026, the show has revealed that One Battle After Another star Teyana Taylor and Pillion lead Alexander Skarsgård will follow Wolfhard’s stint on the subsequent episodes. SNL also shared the new musical guests slated to arrive in episodes later this month.
Teyana Taylor and Alexander Skarsgård will host Saturday Night Live in January
SNL, which ended the previous year on a high note, has announced two new stars for its January slots. Previously, the show announced that Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard would kick off the new year on January 17, 2025, by hosting an episode with musical guest A$AP Rocky.
On January 7, 2026, SNL further announced that One Battle After Another star Teyana Taylor and Pillion lead Alexander Skarsgård will also host episodes of the show this month.
Following Wolfhard on January 17, Teyana Taylor will host the January 24, 2026, episode of SNL. Taylor will be joined by musical guest Geese.
The following week, Alexander Skarsgård will take over the hosting duties. The famous Cardi B will join him. This episode airs on January 31, 2026.
Taylor has featured on SNL with a guest appearance during a September 2018 Kanye West performance. For Skarsgård, this will be his first stint on the show. Musical star Geese will also make his debut on the show. Cardi B had a famous appearance back in April 2018, where she also revealed a baby bump.
The ongoing 51st season of SNL has already seen some big names like Bad Bunny, Amy Poehler, Miles Teller, Nikki Glaser, and Ariana Grande. It seems that the remainder of the season will also feature some huge names, making this a wholesome season.
Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 PM EST on NBC. It is also available for streaming on Peacock.
