Renowned rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion has officially taken her collaboration with Popeyes to the streets of Miami, opening her first franchise of the Southern fried chicken restaurant. The fan-favorite musician has fully embraced entrepreneurship with this venture, taking her first steps into restaurant ownership with the said outlet.
Megan Thee Stallion’s first Popeyes outlet opens in Miami
On 2025 New Year’s Eve, the “Mamushi” singer unveiled her debut Popeyes establishment with a grand opening celebration in the heart of South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida.
Megan Thee Stallion took to TikTok to share moments from the unveiling, where she shared some heartfelt bonding moments with the staff of her Popeyes joint, even stepping into the kitchen to cook a batch of fried chicken herself. The popular musician also spared time to greet fans and briefly took up the responsibilities of a cashier, taking orders from customers behind the counter in her own quirky way.
The three-time Grammy winner then acquainted herself with every member of the support staff, insisting on learning the names of every employee. When informed that she didn’t need to go through the tedious process of memorizing every Popeyes’ staff member’s name, she simply replied, “Oh, yes, I do.”
The 30-year-old singer later teased her employees that she’ll be coming in regularly to check up on how things are going at the outlet. Moreover, she later posted highlights of the grand opening on Instagram, where she cleverly dubbed the establishment, “Thee Littest Popeyes.”
The unveiling of Megan Thee Stallion’s first Popeyes restaurant comes after she had already teased her desire to open such a joint in Miami. In an April 2025 TikTok update, the rapper gave fans a mini tour of her Popeyes outlet, which was still under construction at the time.
While the Miami establishment may be the singer’s first step into restaurant ownership, her partnership with Popeyes dates back to 2021, which started with the launch of her Hottie Sauce.
