According to a new rumor, Avengers: Doomsday‘s cast will include a popular character from the Disney+ series Loki. The rumor suggests that Owen Wilson’s Mobius, who played a prominent role in the Disney+ series, will appear in the upcoming film. Notably, Wilson wasn’t part of the initial cast reveal in March 2025, which included Tom Hiddleston‘s God of Mischief.
Owen Wilson’s Mobius rumored to be in Avengers: Doomsday
A new rumor suggests that Owen Wilson’s Mobius will appear in Avengers: Doomsday. This rumor comes from Daniel Richtman, who shared it on his Patreon. If true, this would mark the character’s debut in a big-screen project.
Mobius was last seen in Loki Season 2. At the end of the series, Mobius left the Time Variance Authority and went to Ohio. There, he chose to let time pass and learn what it meant to have a life and family by watching his variant Don and the latter’s two sons.
Notably, Mobius was once rumored to show up in Deadpool & Wolverine. However, he did not appear in the movie, in which the TVA played a prominent role. In the film, the titular protagonists interact with a different TVA agent, Matthew Macfadyen’s Mr. Paradox, who threatens Deadpool’s universe. Richtman said on X (formerly Twitter) that Mobius’ rumored appearance in the film was based on concept art before production began, while his presence in Doomsday is based on Wilson shooting scenes for the film.
However, Mobius’ appearance in Avengers: Doomsday is still only a rumor as it remains unconfirmed. However, the presence of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, who has a strong connection to the TVA, in the film gives some credibility to the rumor.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 18, 2026. Anthony and Joe Russo directed the film from Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron’s screenplay. The Russos have also co-produced the film with Marvel Studios via their production company, AGBO.
Doomsday’s cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Florence Pugh, Simu Liu, Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Robert Downey Jr., among many others.
