Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may be preparing to tell their story in a new format. According to a source speaking to Star, discussions are underway about a feature-length biopic that would chronicle the couple’s relationship and their fallout with the British royal family. The reported project would follow years of public revelations from the couple, including interviews, a Netflix docuseries, and Harry’s memoir, “Spare”.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set to get a film made on their story, claims source
“There are ongoing talks about a warts-and-all biopic based on their love story,” reveals the source. The source claims the proposed biopic would present an unfiltered look at Harry and Meghan’s love story from their first meeting to their eventual decision to step away from royal life. Meghan reportedly feels that much of what the couple endured has been misunderstood. “She says no one really grasps what she and Harry have lived through,” the source said, adding that Meghan believes a properly made film “will give people the chance to see their side of the story in a way no interview or book ever could.”
Meghan has previously accused members of the royal family of racism and of allowing negative press narratives about her to circulate. She has not returned to the United Kingdom since 2022, and sources say she remains deeply wary of the institution she left behind. According to the insider, the biopic would not shy away from these allegations and would inevitably cast the royal family in an unflattering light. Still, the source insists Meghan is unconcerned about potential backlash.
In “Spare”, Harry wrote that tensions within the family were already high, alleging that Kate Middleton made Meghan cry in the days leading up to the ceremony. By 2020, the couple decided to step back as senior working royals, citing relentless media pressure and a lack of institutional support. They later relocated to the United States, where they have built new careers in media and philanthropy.
