Jennier Lopez has once again proved why she is hailed as the queen. After being critiqued online for her wardrobe, the singer directly addressed many comments at her Las Vegas residency, leaving the crowd in stitches with her response.
The 56-year-old pop icon recently kicked off her residency, “Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night Live in Las Vegas” at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace on Tuesday, December 30. However, she took everyone by surprise when, during the show, she responded to online criticism about her revealing concert attire.
“Thank God I’ve been doing this a long time. I can just ignore a lot of it. It really doesn’t mean nothing. I tell my kids that all the time. But it could be the saddest, meanest place on earth,” Lopez said as per USA Today.
The diva then acknowledged that she sometimes finds humour in the comments directed at her wardrobe choice. “But it was funny. I do laugh at some of the things sometimes, because they do say funny things too.”
“‘Why, when she takes pictures, she always smiles with her mouth open?’… ‘Why she always dressed that way?’ ‘Why don’t she dress her age?’ ‘Why she always naked?'”
And then came the epic response, which left the audience cheering for her. “And I said, ‘If you had this booty, you’d be naked too,'” she responded, before turning around and running backstage in her green fringe dress.
J.Lo’s latest Vegas residency will reportedly continue through March, with a total of 12 shows at the Palace.
