Heated Rivalry’s Hudson Williams Clarifies Dating Status Amid Rumors

Canadian actor Hudson Williams is shutting down rumors connecting him to a secret girlfriend, amid the buzz around Heated Rivalry. The 24-year-old, who stars as hockey player Shane Hollander on Crave and HBO Max, stressed that his personal life is off-limits and not part of the spotlight. He emphasized that fans’ focus should remain on the stories he brings to life on screen, not his private affairs.

Hudson Williams slams Deuxmoi for inciting that he has a girlfriend

Hudson Williams directly addressed the swirling rumors about his love life after what happened on a podcast. On the Deuxmoi Deux U podcast, hosts suggested that viewers were tuning into Heated Rivalry mainly for the on-screen romance between two male hockey players. Fans had speculated that Williams was involved with a tattoo artist who gave him and costar Connor Storrie matching “Sex Sells” tattoos.

Williams didn’t hold back, reportedly taking to social media to voice his frustration. He wrote, in essence, that he’s “grown quite unfond” of the gossip circulating. Despite all the chatter, he made it clear that his personal life is private and irrelevant to the work he does on screen or the chemistry he shares with his costar. “I think there’s never a question for me, when I would dream of becoming in the public eye, that I would want just a level of privacy,” Williams told Deadline.

With Hudson and Connor’s chemistry being praised, there have been speculations about their sexuality in real life. However, neither actor has directly spoken about the matter. Williams has always emphasized the importance of keeping his private life private, especially under the constant public spotlight. He acknowledged the value of telling queer stories on screen, highlighting the impact it has on representation.

Williams told Vulture that he feels “honored to bring a character to life that makes people feel seen and understood,” and stressed that this responsibility far outweighs any focus on his real-life relationships.

Connor Storrie, who portrays Russian rival Ilya Rozanov on Heated Rivalry, has taken a similar stance. He is keeping his personal life private to ensure fans focus on the dynamic between Shane and Ilya on screen.
