Big Brother Season 27’s Mickey Lee has been dealing with serious medical issues. On December 22, a post on her Instagram provided an update on the reality TV star’s condition.
The post began with recounting Lee’s contributions to the reality show earlier this year. Later, it explained what led to her current health condition. The post stated, “Mickey recently suffered a series of cardiac arrests following complications from the flu and is now in the ICU in critical but stable condition. She has been surrounded by medical professionals and loved ones, but the road ahead will be long and challenging.”
It continued, “This sudden health crisis has left Mickey and her family facing enormous emotional and financial strain from mounting hospital bills to ongoing care and recovery costs.”
The post then appealed to her followers, requesting support to assist Lee’s family in covering her medical costs. It outlined the needs, including “medical expenses not covered by insurance, ICU and specialist care, rehabilitation and recovery support, and family travel, lodging, and related costs.” It further read, “Every donation no matter the size will go directly to Mickey’s care and help ease the burden on her loved ones during this difficult time.”
The post concluded, “Mickey has touched so many lives through her courage, bold personality, and unforgettable presence on Big Brother. Let’s show her the same love and support now when she needs it most.” A GoFundMe link was also added to the profile bio, where Lee’s well-wishers have currently raised over $18,500 from over 460 donations.
Earlier this year, Lee competed as a houseguest on Big Brother 27, where she finished in 10th place.
