Tom Brady recently answered the looming question about his Netflix roast, still lingering in the minds of fans. The NFL legend put all speculations to rest upon revealing his feelings on the experience.
Tom Brady shares his feelings about viral Netflix roast
Tom Brady has opened up about his experience during The Roast of Tom Brady on Netflix. Much to the surprise of fans, he gave an unexpected and oddly refreshing response. Reflecting on his Netflix roast, the NFL star said he loved being made fun of by his friends and teammates. “I think a lot of people I love being made fun of… When they make fun of you, they’re comfortable with you, then you know you’re really friends”, he shared on The Big Podcast with Shaq.
Brady believes that friends who are not comfortable with pulling each other’s leg occasionally aren’t really close. He even cited an example of locker room jokes before clearing the air that he wasn’t mad about the roast. “When we did that in the roast, it was funny because you know all those guys who are doing that are your brothers”.
Shaquille O’Neal, the podcast host who also attended the roast, admitted to worrying about Brady being uncomfortable during the jokes. “I thought you were uncomfortable,” he said. Brady quickly reassured him that he wasn’t.
However, Brady also expressed regret about participating in the roast because of the emotional toll it took on his kids and ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. Jokes about his personal life, including his divorce, deeply impacted his children. The 48-year-old referred to it as a “major parenting f***-up” and vowed to prioritize his family’s feelings in the future.
Divided reactions to Tom Brady’s response flooded X (formerly Twitter) in no time. “It was a good roast”, one fan tweeted. “They got him good”, another wrote. “You can roast Tom Brady but at the end of the day, he’s the GOAT. He’ll always have the last laugh”, yet another fan commented.
