Tom Brady Ready To Suit up Again for NFL: ‘Give Me a Month’

Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion and NFL icon, has fans buzzing with talk of a comeback. At 48, he just said that his body can still perform at an elite level and that he could be game-ready in just a month. Brady’s confidence and competitive streak are still there despite his retirement.

Tom Brady on unretiring and returning to NFL

Tom Brady hung up his cleats in 2023 after a legendary 23-year run. He recently opened up about a possible return on The Big Podcast with Shaquille O’Neal.  “I’d whoop a** right now. I could go out there and play. Give me a month, I could go play with anybody… I took care of my body great, I mean, I could do it all,” Brady said. Despite feeling ready, Tom Brady made it clear that a return to the NFL isn’t so simple. The former Patriots quarterback admitted he’s not keen on facing the intense grind of a full season again.

Despite being confident in his skills, Brady acknowledged that the long-term demands of professional football pose a significant challenge. Brady’s minority ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders is another hurdle to a potential comeback. To suit up again, he’d have to give up his stake immediately.

Tom Brady is widely hailed as one of the NFL’s all-time great quarterbacks. Picked in the 6th round of the 2000 draft by the New England Patriots, he spent 20 seasons there before closing out his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Across 23 seasons, Brady racked up seven Super Bowl wins, the most ever by a player. He holds the record for career passing touchdowns and yards and earned 15 Pro Bowl nods, and won three NFL MVPs.

As of late 2025, Tom Brady is keeping busy off the field. He has signed a long-term deal with FOX Sports as a lead NFL analyst. Outside broadcasting, Brady is growing his business empire, including his TB12 wellness brand and media ventures. He’s blessing the field again, joining the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in March 2026.
