Google Added the Best Tribute for John Cena Amid Retirement

John Cena stepped into the WWE ring for one last time on Saturday night, and Google had a unique way to mark his retirement. He took on “The Ring General” Gunther in a one-on-one match at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. As a tribute to his retirement from the WWE, Google added a special feature to the professional wrestler’s search result webpage.

As John Cena retires from the WWE, Google took a special step to pay tribute to the wrestler’s legacy. On Cena’s Google search result webpage, a round button with a hand appears at the bottom. When a user clicks on it, a waving hand with a white wristband appears at the center of the screen, mimicking his “You can’t see me” gesture. Within seconds, the screen goes blank, leaving nothing visible.

Fans took to social media to react to Google’s tribute. One fan, replying to a clip of the feature, wrote on X, “Even Google respecting the GOAT,” while another fan, saddened by his retirement, replied, “Dude this s–t is starting to sink in.” Fellow professional wrestler Randy Orton also addressed Cena’s retirement, posting a carousel of photos with him. He wrote in his caption, “I broke into the wrestling business and grew up for the past 2 decades alongside @johncena I wrestled with or against him 100 times, at least.”

Furthermore, he mentioned, “Skys the limit with this guy. An inspiration not only to generations of fans, but to myself, who was lucky enough to learn firsthand from one of the most OVER wrestlers ever. Thanks for being so good to my family over the years and thanks for making the lockeroom a better place. Take care John, and I’ll see ya around.”

Cena lost his final match to Gunther by tapping out, leaving a few fans disappointed by the way it ended. However, his retirement cemented him as one of the greatest superstars in WWE history, with a legacy that will never fade.
