Tyra Banks gave the world a bizarre moment to discuss during her skit at an Australian drag club a few days ago. The 50-year-old supermodel-businesswoman went on a strange rant about Santa Claus, amid her time on the stage as a DJ. While many questioned her sobriety after the incident, Banks recently clarified her intentions behind her strange skit involving the mythical figure believed to distribute gifts on Christmas.

Fans have witnessed several celebrities promoting their products and presentations on stage. Banks’ unacnny rant about Santa on the stage of the Australian drag club had a similar purpose: promoting her ice-cream brand, SMiZE & DREAM. However, the imaginary situation that Banks described to market her brand didn’t sit well with several fans.
Banks donned a black velvet body-hugging jumpsuit for her assignment. She paired it with a yellow wig and a Santa cap, but of a yellow color. At one point during the event, she forged an imaginary story about how Santa Claus would use the milk and cookies kept for him to make an ice cream that would taste like Santa SMiZE. However, the 50-year-old mentioned that Santa would fail and end up making “Santa S*it.”
A lot of fans were shocked by her brash and bizarre skit for promoting her product. However, in a recent interview with DailyMail, Banks clarified that she was playing her alter ego, Santa SMiZE, who has an unapologetic nature.
“‘I just said that I am Santa SMiZE. She had a Southern accent, and people were like,
‘Tyra’s lost her mind,'” said the supermodel. “What they didn’t realize was she’s specifically there to bring awareness to ice cream in the winter.”
She elaborated on the difference between her real personality and her alter ego by detailing her business model following the launch of her new product, hot ice cream.
She said, “Now Santa SMiZE is Tyra’s rival. Tyra’s team hot ice cream. Santa SMiZE is team cold ice cream. So, throughout this winter, this Christmas, this season, you’re going to see their rivalry continue.”
While fans weren’t particularly impressed by Banks’ Santa SMiZE promotional skit, it remains to be seen what reaction her clarification about the skit earns from them.
